Originally this Georgian five story building was a Marine Officer’s Mess located on the south coast of England and converted in 2008 to provide a spacious house. The views to the sea and architectural proportions of the building allow light and historic detail to balance with the strong and confident interior statements of bold colour and 20th century art school creativity. Throughout the house there is a military, almost armorial feel that extends from a graphic use of strong colour with oaks and ebonies – to a witty use of emblematic imagery.
